Nestled within the craggy landscape of South-East Harris, Crook Cottage is the perfect self-catering getaway.

Harris, one of Scotland's Outer Hebridean Islands, is famous mainly for its traditionally woven tweed. But visitors to the island know that this magical place has a lot more on offer than just fabric: breathtaking scenery, emerald green seas, fresh local food, and white sandy beaches that seem to go on forever make Harris a hidden gem in Scotland's crown.

Visitors will find plenty to do in the area surrounding Crook Cottage. The accommodation overlooks Loch Beacravik (a sea loch), so fishing is just stone's throw away; or perhaps a spot of mussel picking in one of the nearby inlets. Wildlife enthusiasts will find themselves spoiled for choice, with otters, seals, oyster catchers, and the occasional bottle-nosed dolphin all on view from the comfort of the cottage windows (bring some binoculars!). This part of harris has also become well known for its community of local artists, with plenty of nearby galleries to choose from and island paintings or crafts usually on sale.
